Feel more at ease with people

Improv is a set of simple, playful exercises that build everyday skills: listening, speaking up, and staying calm when things don't go to plan. Try it in a free two-hour class. Most people come on their own.

What you take home

Skills you'll use on Monday morning

Almost nobody joins to perform. People come for the confidence, the listening and the new friends, and they use them at work, at home and around new people.

At work and at home

Listen properly

Hear what people actually mean, so conversations go further.

In meetings

Speak up sooner

Say the thing instead of rehearsing it in your head until the moment has passed.

Under pressure

Stay calm when plans change

The surprise question, the moved deadline, the awkward silence. You learn to go with it.

Every day

Make mistakes and move on

Practise getting it wrong with a smile, and stop replaying small slips for days.

Socially

Meet people easily

Start conversations without overthinking them. It helps a lot in a new city.

For yourself

Switch off and laugh

Two hours where work and your phone don't get a look in. People leave lighter.

Your first two hours

Relaxed, playful, and nobody on the spot

  1. 1

    Warm-up games in a circle

The whole group plays together, so the nerves settle quickly.

  2. 2

Exercises in pairs and small groups

Simple, guided exercises in listening, reacting and building on each other's ideas.

  3. 3

    A chat at the end

Ask anything, and hear what the next step looks like if you'd like more.

No audience. Nothing to prepare. Just bring yourself.

Questions

Before you book

Will I have to perform?

No. There's no audience and no stage show. The class is a group of beginners trying simple exercises together, and almost nobody joins to perform.

Do I need to be funny?

Not at all. Improv is about listening and reacting to the people around you. The laughs come by themselves.

I'm nervous. Is that normal?

Very. 87% of our students say they were nervous before their first class. You're always part of the group, so nobody is put on the spot.

Can I come alone?

Yes. Most people do, and you'll be talking with others from the first exercise. You're also welcome to bring a friend.

Is it really free?

Yes. Most people like to try a class before they sign up for a course, so we run a free intro every week. If you enjoy it, you'll hear about FUNdamentals Part 1. If not, no hard feelings.

Does my English need to be perfect?

No. People from more than 31 countries have trained with us, so every level of English is welcome.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in. You'll be on your feet for most of the class.

What's the next step if I like it?

FUNdamentals Part 1, an eight-week course for beginners. The next term starts on 11 January 2027.

See you on Sunday? Or Tuesday?

Two hours, in English, free. Come as you are.
